Payless Shoes

I am a big fan of Payless for 3 types of shoes:
  1. Shoes that I know will only be in season for a little while;
  2. Shoes that I know that my children will very rarely wear, and quickly grow out of; and
  3. Everyday work shoes that I beat up REALLY quickly on my walk to work (I've never found any brand that last for long without needing some work done to repair the shoes.  If you have any suggestions, do tell!).
Anyway, Payless is running its BOGO deal right now, with an additional 20% off that total.  They will do free shipping to your local store (I hate paying for shipping).

Power Tools - Home Depot Ryobi One+ 50% Off Rebate

This might be a little weird for my first post, but this is a deal that I am actually going to use to buy something this week.  My husband has been (not so subtly) hinting that he would appreciate some power tools to complete some of the projects around the house.  With our anniversary coming up, I am going to buy him a few of the qualifying Ryobi One+ power tools from Home Depot.  I can get 50% back via a mail in rebate.  My husband had mentioned these tools long before the rebate because of the high voltage and the good battery life.  I am sure that he will be very happy to receive some of his own.  I should note that it looks like only one of the qualifying products (a chainsaw) comes with a battery and charger, and it is not sold online at http://www.homedepot.com/, but check your local store.  If you want to look for the qualifying products on the website, it is fairly easy by searching for the qualifying parts numbers.

Introduction

I am a busy mom with two kids, a wonderful husband, a career as an attorney that is more than full time, and a hobby as a photographer that is almost part-time.  I have very little time, but I am passionate about saving money.  I like to refer to myself as frugal.  I appreciate value.  I almost never have time to shop at stores (and even less time to look once I am there while chasing down two active kids), so I check deal sites pretty regularly.  I know that there are soooo many deal sites out there, and feel a little bit silly starting another.  However, I thought it might be useful to create a site that shares the deals that I like.  It seems like there are enough interesting deals each day across various sites, that I can act as a curator.  I will post one deal each weekday that I think is the best value (two, if I can't help but share something great).  Hopefully some similarly situated women will appreciate the mix of products that I reference.  Be on the lookout for clothes, technology, beauty products, and other products that make me feel healthier, happier, or prettier.

Oh, and I live in Connecticut, so some deals may be local.  Hope you enjoy!
